The mounting system needs improvement.

The light was very bright and would probably work well in my sanctuary, but the light mounts will not fit a standard aquarium frame. This is really made for a rimless aquarium.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Secret

Read the reviews before I ordered and a few people said it was "not too blue", be careful. Having them in a "warm" room will make you feel terrible. In a modern bright environment they should be very cool. Of course, LOTS of blue for a warm brown room.

I really like the light, it keeps my corals nice and .

love the light it keeps my corals nice and my fish happy as soon as i turn it on my chocolate chip starfish starts moving and loves it i wish it was a function of the moonlight. If you don't care about moonlight get this light, it's great for a small aquarium but if you think moonlight is important just use something else.

Nothing to complain about!

Got the blue/white version a few weeks ago, put it on Fluval Chi, modified it for saltwater. Everything in the tank breaks. I plan to modify the light a bit with Ecoxotic EcoPico strips to get a bit more white light and moonlight. To anyone complaining about the lack of a power button. So what? I've never had an aquarium where I didn't use a timer for the lights. I see from other reviews that the corals I plan to put in the tank will do well. Glad to hear that.

  • Some flaws

Good lamp, good value for money

I think this lamp is a really good choice for a rimless nano reef aquarium with 16 1W LEDs. I have no way of measuring the PAR, but I set it 14 inches above the sandy bottom of my nano and my stone anemone flower crept into the shade. (This is with a glass cover on the tank. Some precautions: 1. Be careful when assembling the lamp and tightening the screws. 2. Do not use it over an open-top tank. 3. It has no switch; I planning to buy a timer 4. This is made for reef aquariums There is a…

Ideal for reef aquariums.

I have had this flashlight for a year and a half now and its performance has been exceptional. It sits on a 5.5 gallon pico reef thanks to its 12 inch depth and was able to grow any coral I threw in. My aquarium consists mainly of lps corals and some sps corals that have flowered. I would recommend this light to anyone with a small reef aquarium. The light strip is completely sealed, which makes it difficult to expose salt. My light is about 4 inches from the water surface and it still works…

Great nano light. best in fish and water pets

For those looking to upgrade the nano tank light, this is a great upgrade. The only problem is that it doesn't have a switch, for that I start a little timer, I'll add a link below. Although the light looks ultra blue in the photos it appears to be perfect for marine reef aquariums, a mixture of blue and white is sufficient, this is a 2 to 1 blue to white ratio. The brackets are made for a rimless aquarium. which most nanos and pico like. Provides good flow to my tank and has already shown…

Pros
  • price
Cons
  • poorly thought out

I had it on a small Petco Arc 6.25 tank. The lighting was a little more blue than I would have liked as there is about 2 times more blue than white. It was bright enough to keep some of the LPS coral alive. Color rendition was affected by the blue cast and I wouldn't say the corals thrived but rather survived. While he was working, I wasn't pleased, but I wasn't upset. After about 5 months, the white lights became noticeably dimmer than they originally were, and after another month they were…

  • So far so good

Very very VERY blue!

This is a good economical flashlight for nano aquarium. I use it on spare 10 gallon soft corals. First the pros - the performance is very good for such a compact flashlight. The case is thin and sleek, and even has cable guides under the legs for the cable. Delivery was quick and the device was well packaged. So far it's going pretty cool. No problem with the timer. The only downside is that this light is very blue, towards the end of 20K. I read the reviews and knew it might be too blue for my
