I raise orphaned newborn kittens and they love this little heartbeat. I put it in a fluffy teddy bear and it seems to comfort kittens who no longer have mom cats to snuggle with. I looked at other similar products but only found this one with useful settings. You can set it to 8 hours or indefinitely, which is pretty impressive for such a simple machine. It also has a surprisingly long battery life. I only had to change the batteries after 8 weeks of almost continuous use.
