Review on Goodyear Wrangler All-Terrain Adventure With Kevlar 255/55 R18 109H summer by Adam Gontarz ᠌

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Real junk, such a terrible quality still needs to be searched.

Ordered 5 tires with tire fitting. It is very good that he agreed to pay after the tire fitting. Out of 5 tires - only 1 was balanced well - with loads of 15 + 35 grams. The remaining 4 wheels were asked for balancing loads from 75 to 165 grams. The tire fitting master tried to change the tires on the disks, twisted them in different directions, tried to stretch the tires - no positive result, with each new installation it got somewhere better by 15 - 20 grams, and somewhere worse. Very surprised by the poor quality of Goodyear tyres, I thought I was buying premium tyres. I refused to purchase such tires. Wrote to Goodyear support. I received a standard reply - I quote: "Unfortunately, without a detailed inspection, it is not possible to draw a conclusion about the causes of the imbalance. Data on the disc's own imbalance and its condition are needed. The wheel assembly is checked on the balancing machine, so the imbalance data is shown in general: tire + disc There are also a number of factors affecting the quality of balancing, for example, the state of the wheel lock of the balancing stand, how exactly the wheel is “set” on the cone of the balancing stand, maintenance of the balancing stand, etc. Therefore, it is impossible to say unequivocally that the reason that the stand shows such values is precisely in the quality of tires." A couple of days later, on the same rims, 4 Continental ATR tires randomly taken from the warehouse were balanced with weights from 5 to 45 grams without any problems, and by spinning the tires on the rims, weights from 0 to 35 grams were left. So my opinion about the tires GOODYEAR Wrangler All-Terrain Adventure With Kevlar 205/70 R15 100T, which I tried to buy, is either a manufacturing defect or an obvious counterfeit, and I am more inclined towards the former. But, unfortunately, the representative office of GOODYEAR did not interest me in any way.

Pros
  • In my opinion, they are not. It was not possible to balance the tires on the disks. A very big imbalance. Tires were 2022-2022 model years.
Cons
  • Tire quality. In my opinion, high-quality tires with a diameter of 15 inches cannot have such an imbalance.
